Melissa Michel, Esq

Melissa’s skills stem from a variety of past work experience which allows her to address all types of legal cases from start to finish. Melissa spent several years working as a Complex Felony Trial Attorney for the Fulton County Public Defender’s Office. While working at the Public Defender’s Office, Melissa gained the ability to handle a variety of complex issues while managing a caseload of over 75 felony cases at a time. Melissa quickly moved up in the office and gained a tremendous amount of experience and respect in and outside of the courtroom while doing so.

During her tenure with the Fulton County Public Defender’s Office, Melissa was involved in litigating over a dozen felony trials. She was also the lead attorney for over 1,500 felony cases ranging from serious violent felonies such as Murder, Rape, Armed Robbery, Gun/Drug Possession, Burglary, to Misdemeanor and Traffic Matters. Because of the results she achieved while at the Fulton County Public Defender’s Office, Melissa developed a long-lasting relationship with several Judges, Assistant District Attorney’s, Clerks, Attorneys and other respected Courtroom Staff throughout Georgia.

Aside from being a bright, problem solving litigator, Melissa Michel prides herself on the personalized service she provides to every client. By taking a very hands-on approach to every case, she is able to gain a much better understanding of the legal issues the client is facing and the possible solutions available. Through investigation, research, and meaningful negotiation with the prosecution, Melissa has always obtained favorable result for her clients.

When not in the office or courtroom, Melissa Michel enjoys traveling the world, discovering new restaurants and creating her own artwork which is frequently displayed throughout the office.
